Rathole

Express entered the rathole services market in 2007 through its acquisition of Ace Rathole. Rathole services provide an economical method to prepare the drill site for the move-in of a drilling rig. The drilling of the rathole does not require a large drilling rig, Express’ equipment can quickly and easily move onto the site and drill a 40’ to 120’ starting hole before a drilling rig arrives. Express’ equipment is fully self-supporting in that the hole can be drilled, casing run and then cemented in place. In addition, a portion of Express’ rathole rigs operate on tracks which allows access to locations with poor road conditions. Express operates its rathole services from 5 locations.
