Express Energy Services Code of Business Conduct (“the Code”) summarizes the policies and values that guide our daily business conduct. The Code emphasizes our core values and ensures our actions with employees, customers, vendors, and others with whom we do business follow these values. It provides guidance for ethical decision making on the job, and lists references where you can go for help or further information. It is every employee’s responsibility to ensure that Express conducts business the right way – every day. We pride ourselves on the people that make up our organization and the culture we have created. We are committed to conducting business ethically, and in compliance with all applicable laws, rules, and regulations. Every effort has been made to include important topics in this Code, but no Code can address every issue or provide answers to every dilemma. Use this Code as a resource about our ethical standards and core values and for information about where to take your questions or concerns. Express Energy Services takes these standards seriously; violations of the Code may result in disciplinary action up to and including termination of employment.

 

Ethical Decision Making

A quick and simple way to determine the right thing to do in any situation is to ask yourself the following:

  1. Is it legal?
  2. Is it consistent with our SPIRE core values?
  3. Does it abide by this Code and Company policy?
  4. Would I be comfortable if this decision was made public?
  5. Does it feel right?
  6. Would I be satisfied with the outcome if I were at the receiving end of the action?

If you answer “No” to any of these questions, do not engage in the situation or activity and seek additional guidance from your manager or Human Resources.

 

Reporting Your Concerns

Any concerns regarding, ethics, this Code or any other company policy or law should be reported as soon as possible. At Express Energy Services, we maintain an open door policy; therefore you may always contact your supervisor or manager with any concerns.
